The Tragedy in Vancouver

It was on friday that the world saw the death of the 21-year-old Georgian luger Nomar Kumaritashvili, in a horrifying training accident—his sled flew off the track and crashed into a steel pole—overshadowed all else and cast a pall over the joyous evening Vancouver had awaited for seven years.
